Ho Chi Minh City is about 50 miles from the sea on a wide winding river.
These fishing boats are anchored out and string nets to collect fish using the river current.
We cleared this bridge by about 30 feet.
Close to our dock is this fantastic building with a heliport. I was told it was built in a year and a half!

The Vietnamese welcomed us!
As soon as we arrived we loaded a bus and went to a water puppet show.
The dragons were terrific! They breathed fire and squirted us with water!

The show was enchanting. These colorful puppets manipulated from behind the curtain appeared out of the mist.
After the show we met the puppeteers.
They demonstrated some of the techniques they used.
We were very impressed and bought their book on this art form.
