After arriving in Bergen, we found our way to the overlook in time to see our ship arrive. (40K)

Along with passengers the ship hauls freight up the Norway Coast (36K)
We were assigned to a table. Beside Mary are Glad and Hans our perpetual dinner companions. Missing are Henry, Tom, and Pete (50K)

Many of the stops were at night and for only a short time (30 min.) So we bought postcards (46K)
We did stop a Trondheim and took a city tour. This is the old city lift bridge. (40K)

At Bode we put on really heavy clothing getting ready to ride across the fjord in a rubber boat (35K)

We missed Svolvaer when we visited Lofotr so we bought a postcard (50K)
On day five we arrived at Harstad before breakfast. We ate breakfast and bought this postcard. (49K)
Next stop Tromso! On a sightseeing walk. We crossed the arctic circle yesterday. Lots of snow! (46K)

Well- When we dropped by to see the globe thingee things were different! (19K)      ................................................... You may wonder how we got there way above sea level.
Here's how we did it.. We got off at Honningsvag. Took a bus till we came to a snow plow and then followed the snow plough for an hour or so. (17K)
We got off the bus and stomped through the snow in a 30 MPH wind till we got to the globe thingee. It took another couple of hours to get back to the ship and they had to wait for us. By the way we were within 1240 miles of the north pole. We were at the northern most point of our voyage. (22K)
Our next port was Kirkenes. We took the tour. Here we overlook the city. Lots of snow still. (31K)

The hotel was built by packing snow around large inflatable ballons. There were stand up sleds to play with! (29K)

Next day we took an impromptu walk at Hammerfest .We got to the tallest church in town. (20K)

The Troll Fjord is 1.25 mile long and 110 yards wide at its mouth, and is located on the West side of Raftsundet between Svolvær and Stokmarknes in the Lofoten region. (34K)
The day was dark and rainy when the MS Orca matched speed with us at Raftsund and we stepped across (36K)
After boarding we watched the MS Lofoten continue on to Svolvaer. (37K)
We donned our heavy weather gear and headed into Trollfjorden for our eagle safari experience (28K)
Our guides used there praticed eagles calls and threw fish out. When successfull the eagle would fly down and grab the fish off the water (31K)
The cliff walls of Trollfjorden are up to 3000 feet high. About half the height of the Grand Canyon (32K)
Quite often a seagull would snatch the fish before it hit the water. (33K)
Late in the evening we crossed the Arctic Circle. This is a marker at the spot. (32K)
One of the stops between the Arctic Circle and Rorvik. After a while you sort of lose track. I think the wooden guy had a basket of bread. (32K)

We arrived back in Bergen and from there took a train on to Oslo. There are about 60 tunnels on the route between Bergen and Oslo. After a night in Oslo we continued our trip by train. Next stop Copenhagen (40K)
